When I was growing up I unfortunately didn’t have much opportunity to travel.
Travel simply wasn’t really a part of my life, unless it involved taking a bus or train to explore and hang out within the city limits of Philadelphia.
We tried to road trip it to the Jersey shore a couple of times for a long weekend or to local theme parks.
I have vivid memories of my Dad’s various cars overheating alongside the Turnpike, or getting towed away for one reason or another on some of those road trips.
When I turned sixteen and was able to get my license, I kind of shied away from taking the driving test mainly because I knew neither myself or my parents could afford to get me a car, but also because I saw all the hassle that cars seemed to be for my family.
My parents never truly enjoyed driving or being in the car. They felt like it was more of a chore than an experience.
When I was in college, and still taking the subway everywhere, I vowed when I had my own family someday, I would find a car brand that would change my perception on driving for the positive.
I wanted to fall in love with a car.
I wanted to know what it felt like to be free to drive wherever you wanted.
I wanted to feel and experience the road, instead of being annoyed with it.
I wanted to crave solo travel so I could pass the time away driving by rocking out and singing as loudly as I wanted to my favorite music.
Last weekend I took a solo road trip to New York City to visit my cousin and on my way back home I realized it happened.
I fell in love with the drive. I fell in love with a car.
See Why I Have Fallen In Love With The Kia Forte
I have been driving a Kia Forte5 SX for a few months now and I can honestly tell you it was love at first drive.
Now the Kia Forte5 SX might be a classified as a compact car, but its spacious hatchback and interior, which can fit our family of 4 comfortably, plus our labradoodle and lots of luggage tell a different story.
Right from the moment the sporty cobalt blue hued beauty quietly pulled up into my driveway I knew that we would experience the road in exciting ways together.
The first time I opened up the door and slid inside the cozy orange-red trimmed leather seats of the Kia Forte5 SX, I knew I was never going to want to stop driving.
Over the past few months I have taken countless road trips, both near and far, with my family and solo, and the one thing that remains the same is my constant urge to drive.
The Kia Forte5 SX always treats me like an old familiar friend, especially after I push the engine start button and the power driver’s seat automatically moves to my preferred setting.
Thanks to bluetooth connectivity, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, making hands free phone calls, streaming music and more in the Kia Forte5 SX is effortless.
Maybe because my parents never drove a car that had the Kia Forte5 SX’s seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, or was 201-hp turbocharged, is the reason why they felt driving wasn’t much fun.
The love affair with this car continues because I never have to worry about being too hot or too cold when I am inside of the Kia Forte5 SX. The comfortability level is incredible thanks to power windows, a power sunroof and one of the best features ever, heated and cooled front seats. My husband and teenage son often argue over who gets to sit in the front so they can enjoy these pretty sweet luxuries.
Even our best girl Jaxie, who normally isn’t a big fan of car rides, loves to jump right in the driver’s seat of the Kia Forte5 SX and go on a road trip (straight to the dog park of course).
You see why I have fallen in love with the Kia Forte, now it is time for you to check one out so you can fall in love with not only a car, but the whole driving experience as well.
Where would you road trip it to first in the Kia Forte5 SX?
